Prometheus
Composed by John Galbraith, Prometheus is a single thirty nine minute piece complete with a cohesive large scale formal structure, extensive development of thematic material, and a diverse progression of musical textures required to keep a work of this length interesting. In fact, no material in Prometheus is ever repeated verbatim. Every presentation of an idea is unique, often a development of a previously introduced theme. The result is an album that sounds good on the first presentation, yet becomes even more interesting and rewarding with repeated listenings.
